Stormwater Management Facilities

Experienced in the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of stormwater management facilities.

Stormwater Management (SWM) facilities are typically utilized to provide end-of-pipe stormwater controls to mitigate potential changes to local hydrologic behaviour resulting from development. COLE has planned, designed, implemented and monitored a wide variety of SWM facilities including dry ponds, wet ponds and wetlands.

Our SWM facility experience is not restricted to green-field development sites, as we have successfully designed new or expanded SWM facilities within existing developed areas. In addition, we have completed several SWM facility retrofit designs, which have included the conversion of dry ponds to wet ponds, as well as adding additional treatment to existing wet ponds to provide augmented water quality control.
