Dredging and In Water Works

To assist in these approvals, we consistently seek to utilize sediments to the benefit of the natural environment.

Dealing with in-water works and sediment management operations is often challenging work. Sediments are typically soft and difficult to handle through conventional excavation methodologies. In addition, sediments may be contaminated, and have special handling or disposal requirements. COLE has significant experience in assessing sediments, and developing plans or designs to deal with large quantities of sediments.

To assist in these approvals, we consistently seek to utilize sediments to the benefit of the natural environment. Examples of beneficial use of sediments could be in the development of new terrestrial habitat, wetlands or aquatic habitats. The preferred use of sediments is confirmed after detailed assessment of the needs of the surrounding environment.
