In over 34 years at the City of Toronto, Michael was involved in the evolution of Toronto Water laboratories from plant-based quality control/quality assurance laboratories to modern, centralized, accredited and licensed laboratories primarily providing analytical services to an ever increasing group of clients. This evolution occurred at the same time as major technological and legislative changes in the field of laboratory analysis and data reporting. In his capacity as Manager of Toronto Water Laboratories, Michael’s mandate included the managing of water and wastewater labs as they moved toward consolidation operationally and physically. This environment of continual change and challenges allowed Michael to keep a fresh and flexible perspective on the delivery of laboratory services to our clients. Since 2010, he has been delivering water operator training courses, on a part-time basis, for the Ontario Water Operator Training Centre (OWOTC) and Sheridan College. Michael also recently began working part-time for the Walkerton Clean Water Centre.
