The Cole Engineering Traffic team was retained to develop and analyse the parking rationale being applied to the Humber River Regional Hospital. The site consists of a proposed development of 37,160m2 office space serving as a consolidated site for medical and government services. The Traffic team undertook a parking study to determine the ultimate parking requirements for the proposed site across a 6 year, 11 year, and 16 year, growth horizon. This involved a comprehensive data collection program, including site surveys, turning movement counts and staff surveys. The final plan and recommendation proposed the ultimate parking rationale and Traffic Demand Management plan for current and future site traffic with the inclusion of potential site accesses which adhered to City of Toronto and provincial standards.
