Project Highlights

Cole Engineering was retained to prepare an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to identify and mitigate stress to the Black Creek and its tributaries during construction of the new TTC 407 Subway Station in Vaughan.

Components of the EMP included the monitoring of indicator parameters such as surface water quality, stream flow, temperature, aquatic habitats and geomorphology in an effort to support the ecosystem features. During the construction phase, Cole Engineering was active in providing environmental support on a number of significant occasions, including fuel spills, fire and potential discharges to the Creek which resulted from activities on upstream properties.
