Cole Engineering staff Adam Nespolo, Ryan Murray, Owen Sanders and Neena Allindina
Paddle the Don is a natural experience in the heart of one of Canada's most urban environments. On Sunday, May 1, Cole Engineering staff joined many other paddlers navigating from Ernest Thomson Seton Park in Don Mills to the river mouth at the Keating Channel. Immersed in nature, industry and history, a short distance away from one of the busiest highways in Canada, they also raised funds to preserve and maintain the Don river watershed.
The water level of the Don River is normally too low to allow watercraft to have safe passage, but Toronto & Region Conversvation augments the flow of water from upstream reservoirs to raise the water level of the Don especially for this event.
