Cole Engineering (COLE) is excited about participating in the Livable Cities Forum being held in Calgary at the end of September (28th-30th). This Event is a collaboration between the City of Calgary, the Canadian Water Resources Association, and ICLEI Canada and will address the highly relevant topic of “Building Flood Resilient Communities”.

After the devastation and subsequent cleanup effort following the severe flooding in Calgary during the summer of 2013, the City of Calgary will host industry professionals such as engineers, planners, and emergency managers to share their knowledge on flood related topics like flood planning, mitigation, and recovery.

On September 29th, COLE’s Water Resources team will present case studies at the ‘Resilience Planning for Public Infrastructure and Critical Services’ session that highlight some of the interesting projects and methodologies we have used to resolve or prevent flooding issues in Ontario. As a leader in the field of Stormwater Management, we look forward to discussing innovative solutions and learning from the approaches used by industry professionals in Western Canada.
